PEAK
PEAK is an innovative research project at the Canmore Hospital that encourages care providers to reflect on their practice and generate questions and ideas. These are referred to as Personal Learning Projects or PLPs, which have the potential to enhance client care and safety.
The Knowledge Brokers for the PEAK Project work with the University of Calgary Health Sciences information specialists and appropriate experts to provide care providers with evidence-based information or best practices related to their PLPs.
The solutions to some PLPs may not be found in the evidence-based literature and are best categorized as “tacit knowledge" or “practical wisdom” acquired by experts after years of experience in their area of practice.
A PLP has 3 components: 1) the background story, 2) the question, and 3) the response.
Please consider confidentiality in writing your PLP.
